last weekend was, i don't really know how to say. but it was good and bad.

i'll start with Friday.
Friday. we wanted to go celebrate Eduard's birthday. decided on Swensens and everyone got there for dinner. everyone but Eduard. his mom didn't let him out. spoiler.
anyway, we (me, Nicholas, Qiyang, Ben, Peter, Nicholas Kam, Christopher, Kenneth)ate dinner. during dinner we planned to go surprise Eduard with a cake. and we did. we bought an ice-cream cake and brought it to his house. it wasn't really a surprise cause Ben called him when we were at Swensens to ask whether he was going to be home for the next 3 hours. oh well.
eventually we did get into the house, sang him a birthday song, got him to cut the cake, played some guitar and bass, attempted to see his weiner, played winning eleven and then went home.

Saturday.
i was really nervous and dreaded the day. with 1.2km to sprint, i wasn't looking forward to that at all.
100m:
all i was thinking of was beating Alex. it affected me so much. i was under way too much pressure, i had to get the gold medal. i haven't got one individual this year. it caused me to not warm up properly.
the race started, with Roy and Alex ahead of me. i tried to keep up and did, but only with Alex. Roy led the way and got the gold, with me and Alex respectively. i don't know how Roy did it. but no one would've guessed he was going to win. oh well, i wasn't sad. but if Alex had beaten me i would have killed myself.

4x100 House:
TOTAL OWNAGE. :)

Inter-services Relay
TOTAL OWNAGE :))

4x100 Class:
the selection for our runners was last minute. i couldn't find anyone to run for us the previous night. we had only Alex, Jia Rong and me. luckily i saw Jen Wei before the meet started. i told him he was going to run, promised him he'll get a medal. it was quite a false promise. we had qualified fourth in the heats, when Joash ran. Joash couldn't run in the finals, we needed a replacement. Jen Wei was the replacement. the funny thing was, he had to clothes to run in. Jia Rong gave him a tank-top, and he had to run in his berms.
so this was the line-up:Jen Wei, Alex, Jia Rong, me.
Jen Wei did quite well against the 1st runners of the other classes, Alex then pulled away from the 2nd runners. Jia Rong was amazingly slow in 3rd, and gave me about 10m to catch up with Peter Wang, who was leading. i thought that we'd get 2nd or 3rd, but somehow i did catch Wang, and we emerged as Champs. haha. a real surprise.

then came the real races, SPH School Relays.
i had 3 races to go,
4x200 Heats
4x400 Finals
4x400 Finals

fortunately when we got there, our coach let Yu Jin and i rest for the 4x200 heats. the team he sent, Joshua, Zhi Yuan, Joel and Han Wei qualified 3rd or 4th.

then it was 4x400 Finals.
personally i think i did quite well,(they said i ran 54!:]) despite having run 4 races before that. we achieved 3rd, behind HCi and Sports School.
i had a headache, as always after the race. i was and still am so glad i didn't vomit like i used to.

4x200 Finals
we came in 2nd, losing the gold to Sports School.

I conquered 1km, 4 events!
haha i had to do that, it's not everyday when you run so much, you know.

Sunday was a depressing day, i don't want to talk or blog abou it. :/

prefect camp the past three days. i was doing evalutions and basically, just hanging around. going for the camp was quite fun, when i really bonded with the other evaluators, who are the prefects in my year. it was also good cause i now know who i hate more in prefects, from the sec 2 level. haha. but really, i dislike a few sec 2s. some for superficial reasons, and others for purely, their attitudes. digusting. but of course, some sec 2s are okay.

during the camp i came back home to have a shower a couple of times, other than that, i stayed in the hot sun watching the sec 2 prefects get pumped or just slacked in the canteen.

i came to the camp hoping for a game of soccer, it didn't come. the campers didn't perform well enough to deserve recreation. anyhow, it was quite fun, as i brought my guitar and this gadget called "Bop It!" walked around the grounds with my guitar, strumming random tunes. played "Bop It" back in the room where we lodged in.

i came home tired, just yesterday.

today is the day in which i'll start clearing my homework. i don't think i'll do much, but i did impress myself by doing some work in the morning. i'm resting now but i'm going to get back to work soon. :)

these are some photos we took during the camp.

the first time in my life in which i felt so sexy and satisfied.

good day for house relays today. not so much for class, i think we barely qualified. we need to change runners for the finals, our present ones are too slow. anyway for house relay we got the expected gold. wanted to break record, but didn't make it. missed it by 6 seconds. we got another chance to break that, we're just praying we will. we came in a whole 10 seconds for this relay. Garry Lim, Alex Chuang, Peter Wang and i. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th runners respectively.

tomorrow's the last day of school. i have wonderful training after school. i need shopping. new clothes.

whoa this year really is a bad year for Inter-house. the starter was alright for today's 400m. it was Mr Azman and the Year 5 guy just clapped the thingy. so it was alright. but somehow i haven't had a decent start in 2 out of 3 races. that really sucks. anyway we were on "Get Set" command when i heard someone say,"Get up" so i did. less than a second after the clap came. i blurred out at that moment and saw everyone else running. about 2 seconds later i started sprinting after them. i came in 2nd. disappointing. :( 57 i think. that's what i did last year. when i finished the race i went to the timers. Mr Bongard was there and asked me what happened to me starts. i told him the details and he said,"Oh no, i think it was me," i was shocked then he continued,"someone was blocking the timers so i asked them to,"Get out of the way."" then he started apologising and shit. well, that's luck. :( very bad luck.

i'm quite pissed about the way things are run during the track meet this year. when Mr Tan See Keng and Coach Han did it, it was flawless and no major screw ups were ever suggested.

one fine day, on the 7th of March, 2006, during the 92nd Annual Track and Field championships, Day 2, some major cock-up occured.
Mr Azman was away for Hockey and there was no doing the starts. then this idiot cum student(i think some Year 5) comes along to take his place. before the race, we were all ready. i asked the starter whether he knew what delay was, he said yes. now, delay is something... traditional amongst us AC trackers. a delay is when we take our time, loosen up and shake our muscles, and take our time to get unto our starting blocks. this was common. i thought it was just going to be another race. but no, it wasn't. what happened really makes me want to not take part in any event for Inter-house meets anymore. okay what happened was, this student gave the command,"Ger garisan." i don't know if its spelt correctly. anyway, yeah that basically means "On your mark". as usual, i took my time to get down, stretch, bounce a bit while the others went down. eventually i did get down to my blocks. shaking my right leg, then as i was about to shake my left, he gave the next command,"Sediah". and clapped the starting thingy. i wasn't prepared at all! i didn't even get into "ger garisan" position. to me, starts are the most important for a race, espescially a sprint race. in fact, it is to any Tom, Dick, Harry who sprints. it totally spoilt my game plan and i didn't run my best, thinking it was of no use since i did not start properly. it seems like an excuse but it isn't at all. it's the bloody truth. they did allow us a re-run. but it was the same, only an hour later. we cannot possibly have recovered by then and obviously won't run our best. i'm giving up on the rest of my races. if tomorrow's 400m race is going to be started by a student, i'm not going to run. i swear i won't. anyway, i don't feel like competing anymore. i don't even want to collect my bronze i got from the race. if i had achieved bronze and the starts were okay, i'd be fine with it. but it wasn't the case. i'm only set on relays for house and class.
it's really screwed up. all the hype yesterday gone to shit now.

i'm in a really bad mood right now. not angry, pissing, but sad and somewhat scared.

i did a really slow 100m today, i only achieved an 11.96. around there. hopefully it's an inaccurate hand-timing from the stupid students. i hope i did better. but then again, i've been so off, even during training. right now i'm praying to God to help me in tomorrow's 200m final. or maybe He could at least help me get this losing thought out of my mind.

ugh this really is affecting me i'm not going to blog anymore.

oh no i think i scored 30 points out of a maximum of 36.
IP/IB scoring is as so:
> 85 - 7
70-84 - 6
60-69 - 5
50-59 - 4
40-49 - 3
30-39 - 2
< 29 - 1
the front few should be right, don't really know about the failing marks.

History i did well, cause it was a group presentation thingy.
we scored 90 out of a hundred for it. as for my newspaper article thingy i scored 50/60. not too bad. should've done better though.

for both Mathematics, i failed. 12/25 for Core 11/25 for Advanced. it's very shitty, pulled my score down by a lot.

Both Sciences had different results. one did fairly well the other extremely bad. for Physics i scored 18/25 second highest in class. :) add the best practical i did this term, do some calculation, and i get 77%. still second highest in class. as for Chem, i'm first in class. from the back. with 55%. don't know how that ended up. but at least i didn't fail.

a few days ago, i think Thursday, i suffered a bad oral injury. :( playing soccer when this guy called Brian Khoo tackled me. now Brian is from my class and he's an accident waiting to happen. not that he means them, but it's that he's just too frigging strong, muscular, bulky... blah... blah. anyway, i was getting the ball and he collided into me from behind. this caused me to bite my tongue and a very bad migraine. he didn't come off well too, with a fractured hand. my tongue was bleeding quite bad. blood wasn't gushing out but it didn't stop bleeding. i couldn't eat. i couldn't even shut my jaw down properly. now i can't brush my teeth without making my tongue bleed.

well, i've got to go now, i want to go jamming today.
